This notice explains how we process the personal data of visitors to this website and of people who contact us, in accordance with Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

What data we process

Browsing data. To make the website work, the servers that host it automatically record some technical data: IP address, date and time of the visit, pages requested, browser and device type. This data is used only for the operation and security of the website and is not used to identify visitors.

Data you give us. When you fill in the contact form you give us your first and last name, email address and the text of your message. The same applies if you email us, call us or contact us via WhatsApp. Please do not include in your message any data that is not needed for your request.

Why we process it and on what basis

  • To answer your requests for information, availability and quotes: processing is necessary to take steps at your request before a possible stay (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • To keep the website working and secure: legitimate interest of the controller (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • To show third-party content, such as the Google Maps map and the bike rental booking module: only with your consent, given through the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
  • To comply with legal obligations, if your request turns into a stay (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Providing the data in the contact form is optional, but without your name, email and message we cannot reply. We do not use your data for newsletters or marketing and we do not make automated decisions.

How long we keep it

We keep requests for as long as needed to handle them and in any case no longer than 24 months after the last contact, unless they become part of a booking, in which case the retention periods required by law (for example tax rules) apply. Browsing data is kept by the hosting provider only for as long as technically necessary.

Who can see the data

  • hotel staff responsible for answering requests;
  • Aruba S.p.A., which hosts the website (servers in Italy), acting as data processor;
  • the hotel’s email provider, which receives the messages sent through the form;
  • WhatsApp Ireland Ltd (Meta group), only if you choose to contact us using the WhatsApp button – the conversation then takes place in the WhatsApp app and its privacy policy also applies;
  • Google Ireland Ltd, only if you agree to display the Google Maps map;
  • the bike rental booking service on the Experiences page, only if you agree to load it and use it.

We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

Transfers outside the European Union

Some third-party services (Google, WhatsApp/Meta) may transfer data to the United States. These transfers are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

Cookies

The website uses technical cookies needed for it to work and, only with your consent, third-party content that may set cookies. You will find full details in the Cookie policy; you can change your choices at any time from the cookie banner.

Your rights

At any time you can ask to access your data, correct it, erase it or restrict its processing, object to processing based on legitimate interest, receive your data in a portable format and withdraw any consent given, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal (Arts. 15–22 GDPR). If you believe that the processing of your data breaches the law, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it) or with the authority in your country of residence.
